Nightlife in Nice

Nice is charming both by day and by night. Whatever your tastes for nighttime entertainment, Nice is sure to have after-dark entertainment that you will enjoy. One of the most popular night spots in Nice is Wayne’s, located at 15 Rue de la Prefecture in old Nice (Vieux Nice). It is a great place to enjoy live music and meet new people. There is usually a live band performing and the partying crowd is truly lively.
Another stop you should make in Nice is to McMahon's Pub, also in Vieux (old) Nice, located next to bus station on Albert 1st Garden. To liven things up, they hold various theme nights, and it’s also likely that you will find a live band performing here on most nights. Plus, unlike most night spots in Nice, many people at McMahon's Pub speak English. So, you can have a nice time even if your French is still a little shaky. McMahon’s is also a place where you can enjoy various sporting events playing on the pub’s big screen.
For the young and the young at heart, a great place to go is the Disco Butterfly on 67 Que Des Etats-Units. Disco Butterfly is a student-ridden den and the music there suits that age group, as do the prices since they definitely what you would call pocket friendly. If you want to catch up on your emails as you enjoy a pint during the evening hours, a good place to go is Le Ghost at 3 Rue Barillerie, which – apart from the music and drinks – also has an Internet hotspot.
If you are a professional looking to spend your evening networking, you can meet people from Nice's business crowd at L’Ambasade. L’Ambasade, located at 18 Rue du Congress, is a classy establishment that carefully decides who gets in and who doesn't. Their prices reflect the class of clientele they target, too; but they certainly do offer incentives to justify the slightly higher prices.
Lastly, if you are looking for the luck of the Irish, there is O’Neil's Irish Pub located on Rue Droite. While O’Neils does have some music, it also a place where you can hold a decent conversation with your drinking mate, as it is not as loud as most evening hot spots. Another quieter night spot is the La Suite, but they do seem to be rather selective of the crowd that gets in there.
